BACKGROUND/PROBLEM

The Gaps Eventbrite Can’t Fill

Current platforms (like Eventbrite) charge high fees and lack native support for multi-session scheduling. Organizers struggle to sell day passes, bundles, or session-specific tickets within one cohesive event.

Konference aims to eliminate these limitations with a platform purpose-built for complex events.

One Event ≠ One Ticket

RESEARCH

Listening to Organizers First

Interviewed local organizations running conferences, festivals, and workshops.

Common frustrations:

  • No easy way to create bundles or day passes.
  • High platform fees cut into margins.
  • Multi-location and hybrid (online + in-person) support is clunky or nonexistent.

DESIGN PROCESS

Building a Platform That Scales With Complexity

Initial concepts sketched by hand to explore bundling and session logic. AI workflow: ChatGPT + Figma Make for layout generation, with manual refinement to handle edge cases. To define my visual style, I used realtimecolors.com

Special focus on edge cases:

  • Bundles and day passes
  • Multi-location and online event support
  • Smooth ticket checkout for both single-session and multi-day attendees.

CURRENT CHALLENGES

When AI Fights Back

Figma Make often struggles with implementing the multi-step setup I envisioned. Simple edits sometimes create hours of cascading cleanup, slowing progress but clarifying the limits of an AI-first approach.

I’m almost done with the frontend of the organizer-facing side, but given the difficulties I’ve been having with Figma Make, I have concerns about integrating the backend

NEXT STEPS

Supabase, Stripe, and Beyond

  1. Complete the event creation flow to finalize the core user experience.
  2. Integrate Supabase for database management and Stripe for secure payment processing.
  3. Launch a fully functioning beta that supports real multi-session events without the limitations of current platforms.
